Privacy statement

This is the privacy statement of JOURNEYS, hereinafter also referred to as Mentor Journeys. Through this privacy statement we wish to inform you in a clear way how we collect and process your personal information. This privacy statement is aimed at all people whose personal data is collected and processed by us.

What types of data are collected?

The answer to this question depends on the kind of interaction with us. We always aim to collect and process as little information as possible, as such we only process the data we absolutely require for our activities.

Categories of personal data collected and processed:

  • Identity information: Name and first name. From the first contact throughout long term partnerships, a personal approach is key. We need some of your information to do so.
  • Contact information: Email, telephone number and address. A good relationship starts with establishing a good contact. By processing your contact     information, we can reach out to you when necessary.

We obtain your personal data directly from you, due to you sharing your information with us.


Why we process your data

We collect and process your personal data only when necessary, which depends on the situation of our interaction. Asmentioned above, we must be able to contact you and therefore we require your contact information.


On what basis do we collect and process your personal data

To be able to offer our services, we require some personal data. Depending on the situation, we either collect and process your information based on your consent (contacting us) or based on an agreement.

Sharing your data

General information regarding data sharing

We do not share personal information with third parties unless we’re required to do so. In such situations we limit the data shared to the absolute minimum. If you have questions regarding the third parties that may have received your information, you can always contact us.

It is possible that we combine or remove parts of the information obtained to be able to anonymize and/or aggregate information, assuring that the information can’t lead to a specific person. All connections between you and the remaining data will be removed.

In the event that we’re asked to share personal information as part of a legal procedure, we will have to do so but we will always limit the information shared to the absolute minimum.

Categories of recipients of personal data

We use IT service providers for common IT products and services (mail, datastorage, IT configurations, etc.). We take all the necessary measures to assure that these providers – if they have access to your data – respect your privacy rights.

Third countries

We do not transfer personal data or other information from you to organizations or persons in third countries(countries and / or organizations outside the EU and EEA). Data, including personal data, is always stored, and processed by us within the European Union.

How we store your data

We store your personal data in line with the legal provisions of the GDPR.

How we protect your data

We take all appropriate and reasonable technical and organisational measures necessary to protect and secure the collected (personal) data and take all reasonable and appropriate measures to verify the real identity of every person who wishes to make use of the services of JOURNEYS and/or who wishes to exercise his/her rights under the GDPR.

Despite the fact that JOURNEYS takes all appropriate measures to store and protect the (personal) data in its possession in a correct and efficient manner, we cannot fully guarantee the protection of any information in our possession (ie. Intentional hacking).

Your choices and rights regarding your personal data

It is your right to ask us whether we have processed your personal data. If this is answered positively, it is your right to: inspect these personal data, request that these personal data to be rectified, be erased, restrict the processing of these personal data   and/or the right to object to the processing. You also have the right to request the data from the source of your personal data.

In accordance with the above, it is always your right to have inaccurate personal data rectified in accordance with article 16 GDPR. In accordance with the above, it is your right to have all your personal data erased, in the context of your right to be forgotten in accordance with Article 17 of the GDPR. Note that aggregated data will not be deleted, as they cannot be used to reduce this data to one specific person. Inaccordance with the above, you have the right to obtain the restriction of processing of your personal data in accordance with Article 18 of the GDPR. You have the right to request to receive your processed personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transfer it to another party in accordance with Article 20 of the GDPR. In accordance with the above, it is your right to object to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Article 21 of the GDPR and automated decision-making in accordance with Article 22 of the GDPR.

Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if you consider that we have collected, processed and/or managed your personal data in a careless manner, as a result of which you suffer or have suffered (potential) damage.

Changes to the privacy statement

JOURNEYS may change and/or update this privacy statement in due time. Therefore, we advise you to review this privacy statement on a regular basis.
